The Alumni Gathering and Kartu Prakerja Card Socialization event brought together more than 100 alumni from seven regencies and cities in West Kalimantan, namely Pontianak City, Sintang Regency, Sanggau, Sekadau, Kapuas Hulu, Melawi, and Ketapang.
Since Wave I opened in April 2020, the Kartu Prakerja Program has benefited 288,200 participants in West Kalimantan with a total incentive of IDR667.5 billion.
"This achievement shows a strong signal that the Government through the Kartu Prakerja Program is present and has a positive impact on people at various levels, including underdeveloped and rural areas," said Executive Director of Kartu Prakerja Program Management Denni Puspa Purbasari.
West Kalimantan Governor Sutarmidji, in his remarks delivered by Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Office Manto Saidi, stated that the Kartu Prakerja Card Program is very helpful for the people of West Kalimantan to improve the economy for those affected by layoffs, increase competence and productivity for workers and job seekers, and as capital for entrepreneurs.
"In addition, the Kartu Prakerja Program contributes to significantly improving the food security, financial security, and financial inclusion of the recipients," he said. On the same occasion, Deputy Regent of Sintang Melkianus emphasized the support of the Sintang Regency Government for this program, because through the Kartu Prakerja Program the community can take part in online training and be helped economically. "The positive energy of the Kartu Prakerja recipients inspires people to never give up and keep trying to realize the dreams of all of us," he said.
In accordance with the main objectives of the Kartu Prakerja program, this activity is expected to equalize competency development, increase the productivity and competitiveness of the workforce, and develop entrepreneurship. "In line with the spirit of the 77th Independence Day: Recover Faster and Rise Stronger, LinkAja continues to be committed to encouraging financial inclusion. The Prakerja alumni gathering event in West Kalimantan is expected to increase the participation of more participants outside Java," said LinkAja Marketing Director Muhammad Rendi Nugraha.
During the Alumni Gathering and Socialization of the Kartu Prakerja, participants received various kinds of training and program socialization, one of which aimed to educate digital financial transactions. Education on the use of QRIS is also an important
focus in order to launch Bank Indonesia's program in equitable distribution of inclusive transaction methods. The Kartu Prakerja program, which was first implemented at the beginning of the pandemic and supported by a digital platform, has been well adopted by the community. With digitalization, the mechanism for distributing money for Kartu Prakerja participants is easier, faster and more targeted because funds can be directly received by each participant through the e-wallet or bank account that has been chosen. In accordance with the main objectives of the Kartu Prakerja program, this activity is expected to be able to equalize competency development, increase the productivity and competitiveness of the workforce, as well as entrepreneurship development.
Ledia Agustina, who is a Kartu Prakerja alumni in Sintang, feels very helpful for the distribution of the Kartu Prakerja incentives she received through LinkAja, which is used for digital payments for various needs, such as buying credit & data packages, paying for electricity, online shopping, payments via QRIS at Minimarkets & shops to transfers. The entrepreneur who works as a Make-up Artist also received training and entrepreneurship development to advance her business.
Through a complete and integrated ecosystem of electronic financial transaction services, LinkAja's consistency and commitment in its efforts towards #SatukanPotentialIndonesia is increasingly being realized. By optimizing all the services offered by each SOE, LinkAja is optimistic that it can meet the needs of safe and convenient digital transactions, and further accelerate the process of equitable financial inclusion in Indonesia.
