LinkAja and PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) have formally established a strategic partnership to support in store construction finance in the SIG supply chain network's growth in sustaining cash flow and ensuring business continuity through payments digitalization. Having a mission to build synergies with SOEs and digital financial service platforms that serve the needs of the community and MSMEs in Indonesia, LinkAja believes this partnership can support the acceleration of financial inclusion initiatives and encouraging non-cash transactions in Indonesia.
This strategic partnership officially began with signing ceremony which was held at the SOE (State-owned enterprise) Ministry Building, which was attended by the President Director of SIG, Donny Arsal, LinkAja Operational Director, Widjayanto who was witnessed by the Deputy Minister of SOE II, Kartika Wirjoatmodjo. This ceremony also declare the partnership between SIG and Telkomsel, Bank Mandiri, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) and Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI).
"This strategic partnership is a reflection of LinkAja's commitment to boost digital financial inclusion through partnerships with multiple parties, particularly state-owned companies. One of the initiatives in order to digitize the ecosystem supply chain is to provide financial services, from payment to financing. LinkAja has digitized hundreds of thousands of phone bills kiosks in the traditional Telkomsel ecosystem, and has also digitized other strategic partners. We will also replicate this digital supply chain into traditional ecosystems that are available in the GIS network throughout Indonesia. With this collaboration, it is hoped that SIG construction store partners will gain advantages such as sales growth, streamlining cash handling, and enabling partners to receive cashless payments from customers so they can track their business performance.” as explained by Widjayanto - Operational Director of PT Fintek Karya Nusantara.
The SOE ecosystem is LinkAja's key competitive advantage, and one way it achieves this is by providing financial solutions to digitally transform the entire traditional supply chain end-to-end from the principal to the retailer. In the first stage of this collaboration, LinkAja will improve payment digitization with partners using a merchant application called MiLA (Mitra LinkAja), which then digitizes transactions and can be carried out on Semen Indonesia's AccessToko application. Digitizing payments in the retail ecosystem of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk includes M2M Payment or Merchant to Merchant payments so that the payment system is more practical and makes tracking easier.
Also support for retail financing facilities through LinkAja Modalin which supports retail financial arrangements, QRIS, and bill payments or Payment Point Online Banking (PPOB) which supports data accuracy in the payment process. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that the entire GIS ecosystem can be digitized.
"We believe that the synergy of SOEs would help us to accelerate sustainability initiatives and achieve sustainable growth. Comprehensively, we are directing our ecosystem to digital. Our partnership with LinkAja is the first step for us to further encourage the use of digital financial services as a transaction solution within our ecosystem," said Donny Arsal, President Director of SIG.
As a joint program that will be implemented nationally, this digitizing payments will be carried out in stages, starting from several areas in the West Java Region, Jabodetabek, and continuing to expand according to the agenda that is agreed between the two parties.
PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk is a state-owned company (SOE) which oversees a number of subsidiaries, including PT Semen Gresik, PT Semen Padang, PT Semen Tonasa, Thang Long Cement Company, and PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk. At the present time, PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has more than 60 thousand retail stores throughout Indonesia. LinkAja sees that this partnership has an enormous potential to accelerate the distribution of digitalization for other regions in Indonesia.
Through a complete and integrated electronic financial transaction service ecosystem, LinkAja's consistency and commitment in its efforts to #SatukanPotensiIndonesia (Integrating Indonesia’s Potential) will be achieved. By optimizing all the services that are prioritized by each SOE, LinkAja is optimistic that it will meet the needs of secure and convenient digital transactions, and further accelerate the process of equitable financial inclusion in Indonesia.
